Affiliate Program Verification: A Repeatable Source Workflow

Program pages, network listings and third-party articles can disagree. Verification means tracing a claim to the party authorized to set it and recording exactly what was confirmed on a date.

Verify the entity and official route

Start on the advertiser's main domain and follow its affiliate or partner links. Confirm network domains and beware of copied application pages.

Record whether the program is open, invite-only, regional or managed through a third party.

Verify claims one field at a time

Commission, cookie, recurring status, threshold, payment and traffic restrictions may appear in different official documents.

Use unknown when a field cannot be confirmed. Do not fill gaps from unrelated historical reviews.

Maintain provenance

Store source URL, review date and a short note explaining the interpretation. Recheck pages that earn traffic or contain precise commercial claims.

If sources conflict, publish the conflict or omit the disputed value until clarified.

Frequently asked questions

Does an official application link prove all terms?

No. It proves a route to the program, but specific terms may require an agreement, network listing or approved account.
